Ichinose Family Ski Area is, as its name suggests, especially well suited for families and beginners.

Ichinose Diamond Ski Area is known for its wide variety of courses.
Compared with the more beginner-friendly Ichinose Family area, Ichinose Diamond offers more courses for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, making it suitable for a broader range of levels.
With high-speed lifts, visitors can reach the upper areas efficiently and enjoy longer runs.
The area is also connected to many other slopes by lifts and connecting courses, serving as an important hub for exploring the entire Shiga Kogen ski area.
Thanks to its high elevation and abundant snowfall, Ichinose Diamond offers stable snow conditions throughout the season.

Tannenomori Okojo Ski Area is loved for its relaxed courses, which are ideal for families and beginners, as well as for its beautiful natural scenery.
As the name “Tannenomori” suggests, many of the courses pass through forests of birch and conifer trees, offering one of the most nature-rich skiing experiences in Shiga Kogen.
The name “Okojo” comes from the small, charming stoat that lives in the Shiga Kogen area. If you are lucky, you may even spot one near the slopes.
With many gentle slopes overall, this ski area is popular not only with beginners but also with intermediate skiers who want to enjoy relaxed cruising while taking in the surrounding scenery.
