At Yudanaka Onsen, the gateway to Shiga Kogen, a “Bathhouse-Hopping Pass” has appeared that lets you tour the communal baths with ease. What Is the “Bathhouse-Hopping Pass”?
The “Yudanaka Onsen Bathhouse-Hopping Pass” lets you visit three places in all: two communal bathhouses in Yudanaka Onsen and one day-use hot spring facility in front of Yudanaka Station. The Yamanouchi Town Development and Tourism Bureau began selling it on February 6, 2026. It’s a way for travelers, too, to easily experience the soto-yu (public bathhouse) culture that locals have long preserved.
Price, Participating Facilities, and Sign-Up
- Price: adults 1,800 yen / children (ages 7 to 12) 1,000 yen

- Note: To apply, you’ll need photo ID for each person using the pass. The number of keys available for loan is limited, and there are days when the pass can’t be used, such as bath-cleaning days.
